Maternal Health
Uganda has a high maternal mortality rate and this happens mainly in the rural areas where there is limited access to transport, health care systems and poor antenatal and postnatal care services. We work hand in hand with the Village Health Teams to bring these services closer to the expecting mothers.
How you’re changing lives in Uganda
Maternal Health
Like many other developing countries, Uganda has a high maternal mortality rate and this happens mainly in the rural areas where there is limited access to transport, health care systems, and poor antenatal and postnatal care services. We workhand in hand with the Village Health Teams to bring these services closer to the
expecting mothers.
Agriculture
Agriculture is a core sector of Uganda's economy and the largest employer. Over 80% of women contribute about 75% of agricultural production. Strengthening families’ abilities to build viable agricultural enterprises to fortify both food security and income generation is our top priority for this project.

Our Approach
Project cycles take a maximum of three years to ensure sustainability.
We use a house hold based whereby we work directly with the beneficiaries of the projects.
Our goal is to ensure that 70% of the households
in the community have a sustainable Income Generating Activity.
We involve volunteers who are locals in the
community to ensure effectiveness and sustainability
